Polish sprint: Log1
General:
This week marked the start for the polish sprint, in this sprint we will focus on making the game play smoother and visually more appealing. Along with adding the final touches to some mechanics. Most of the improvements we will make are centered around player feedback and core implementation along with sound.
Art:
This week a lot of improvement was made to the UI. Small changes to textures, lights, placement of props,… were made. The hawk animations were also polished.
A couple of new things were also added: some extra particles for better player feedback, an endgame level for the graveyard and a barricade to better indicate the end of the level.
Programming
This week was all about bug fixing and refining certain aspects of the game play. The most noticeable change was the end game and frenzy mode area. We now have a clear end of the game that opens when one of the mice gets enough score, and the frenzy area is now separated from the main playing level, making it even clearer a new mode has started. Other that this big change, a log of smaller changes were made including random pitch modulation for all sounds, new frenzy mode music and more.Files
